there are tensioners on each accessory... you have to loosen the bolts on what you are going to remove, with that done, the alternator will "slide" and the belt will loosen...

you dont need a manual to change an alternator... just reverse the removal procedure to get it back on. To tighten the belt, you may want to use a pry bar... and push on the alternator while you tighten the tensioner bolt.
