Default brake lights not working, must fix asap

i got new tail lights installed, and the lights turn on when the headlights are on, but when i depress the brake peddle, only the 3rd brake light lights up.

any ideas, (fuses, wires) or maybe they were just hooked up wrong.

thanks

i believe it's the fuses. check the fuses on the side of your doors.

OR

on the original tail light, there's this small black box on the driver side (Taillight).
You must take that out and use it on ur new tail light.
Hope I helped. Good luck

Default rice kit

hey, rice, what about that black box on the drivers side? i noticed when i looked at the new light, there is an extra connector hanging there, unfortunatly, the car was in an accident and the original taillight was smashed, and that part you speak of may have been lost. do you think that connectore that is lose is the one that plugs into that black box piece, and what can i do to fix it

its not the fuses, first place i checked.

hmm car accident huh... so you dont have that black box?
yes the part you said " i noticed when i looked at the new light, there is an extra connector hanging there " yes that connector goes into that black box... if you dont have that, I dunno where you can get it.... you prabably have to go to dealer or search online.... I dunno what they called... If you do go to dealers, I dont think they will sell that part seperately... they come out with taillight... you might hav to buy the whole thing... but you dont want to buy the whole thing....

Soooo!! This is another idea...
( I did this for emergency )

Take a metal wire about ( ---------- ) <- this long and bent it " U " shape ( not too thin/ about 3 times thicker than paper clip ).
and the extra connector that's hanging out, put that " U " shaped wire into each side.
Do you know wha I mean? when u look closer to the connector, there is two holes each side. Stick it in and tape it so that wire wont come out. and try if break lights come out.

Default put it in and that should work?

tried the idea, all i did was blow a fuse.

i connected the lower ones, because on the top the one side does not have a wire going into it. so there is no reason to put a wire between them. idk what to do, so if you can clarify or post some pics of what you are talking about, that would be super.

thanks

The part you need can found at this site, it's #22
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...gry5=TAILLIGHT

and it can be ordered separately. Let me know how it works out.
