I didn't mean that one should never use a fuel injector cleaner - every 2000 - 3000 miles won't hurt, and may help if one has picked up a nasty tank of gas. (I had several bad experiences w/ Shitgo - 'er Citgo, and once I stopped using it in a Ford truck and an SHO, and had the fuel injection systems cleaned, the truck ran like new; the SHO had other issues, but the cleaner did improve it's performance, none the less) I also agree that some cars may benefit more than others from periodic fuel injection cleaner additives, but it's also a function of what brand of gas one uses, and you don't always get the brand of gas that is labeled on the pump, so there's no easy way to be certain that you're buying a legit brand. And I think that practice sucks.
