Default How much would a decent paint job run me?

What's going on? I'm new here. Just got a quick question. So I'm trying to get a paint job... I have a black car... and I'm a big fan of the silver & blue metallic paint on cars but I know that might be too expensive for me. So I might go ahead and leave it black. Unless I find a place that'll do it. I have around 600-700 to spend. Can I get somewhat of a gloss with that? Should I go with Maaco for this? Or look for individual shops to do this?

if you do the pre-paint yourself with the whole sha-bang and primer maaco will paint it, but if you dont they will completely mess up.

yea, prep up yourself as best as you can.
im not so sure about primer though and when you drive the car in, make sure you strip everything off it since it might get overspray on them.

You can check with your local Honda dealer for recommend body
shops in your area. I'm personally not a fan of the big chains of body
shops, I've have seen some nasty jobs even pre prep wouldn't of helped.
You get what you pay for.

if u live in norcal my friends uncle has a shop, he can do any color u want, any combo, any color whateva, if u prep, for $400, paint isnt very expensive. body shops buy straight from paint factories so they get their shit for dirt cheap then spike up the prices per quart for profit. so if u can prep realy good, u get a paint job of ur choice for $400.

Yeah the only thing I painted on the car myself was the calipers. Those came out really good, but I don't know if it's the same thing with the entire car. I just got an entire body kit with fenders, so I gotta paint my car anyway. But I don't wanna drive around without it being painted.
