Default Strut bars/ anti-sway bars

I have a few questions regarding strut bars and sway bars. These are two different things as i understand it. First of all, do strut bars come on the car? And anti roll bars you have to buy and install, correct? I was thinking of buying an anti roll bar for my 91 Accord. Do they really help with handling :driving: and are they easy to install? Thanks a lot.

yes, these bars will def. help with steering. our accords do not come with strut bars but i believe that the EX was the only one with a rear sway bar? im not sure...

sway bars are going to be more expensive but help the most. and roll bars are like the ones you see in rally/racecars. not sure what you meantbut yes that does help on steering because it strengthens one's chassis...thus less body roll.

anti-roll bar would require some disassembly of the interior and welding, sway= kinda hard and you might need to fab something for the bar to fit if you have an lx/dx, strut=easiest (except the rear, kinda of a bish to get to)
thrs also the rear lower tie bar which i felt improved a tiny bit.

if you get a thicker one it will be better than stock.

You're talking about a roll bar or roll cage which provides protection during a roll-over. Probably also contributes to the overall stiffness of the car's structure, too.

Anti-roll bars are (IMHO) the proper name for what most people call 'sway bars'. They control roll stiffness of the car, not swaying motion.
