Default Newbi question

I'm an old Hot Rodder but new to this Import stuff. I have a 2001 Accord EX and want to change the stock wheels to something more sporty looking. My question is what are "tuner lug nuts", and why does the wheel manufacturer say that I must have them?

Thanks for your indulgence,
Roadapple

Because lots of aftermarket wheels have smaller openings that receive the lug nuts, and the stock ones are too large to fit. This might help a bit: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/nutsandbolts.jsp
