Default Accord 05 Seatbelt Beep!!!

does anybody know how to get rid of that ANNOYING BEEPING SOUND that won't stop until you put on your seatbelt?

it really keeps going forever until you put it on... and it drives me crazy.

IF you pull apart the seat belt locking mechanism, there is probably a wire you could jumper to make the computer think it's fastened all the time.


Now for my 10 cents....
I have to agree with teh posts above, it's there for a reason. I never really noticed it myself. Honda engineers are telling you... don't start your engine unless your planning on putting on the belt and driving somewhere.

What are you doing in your car that requires the engine to be running, but your setbelt not fastened?

One a second note... disabling this safety device could open yourself up ot personal liability that your insurance company could refuse to cover. If you sell the car or if another person is driving the car and forgets to put on their seat belt and is injured... your screwed. Yes... in our modern legal system, it's possible. Hell, even a car theif could sue you for disabling the warning system if they were injured after not wearing a seat belt.
