Default HID conversion kits

Hey everyone,
I just installed the TYC projectors on my 98 coupe (i will post pics tonight) But I wanted tko see if anyone was using one of those HID conversion kits? not a retrofit (i know that is better, i am looking to save the trouble of building it) If you are using an HID conversion kit (H1 bulbs please), could you please post pics at night? any good brands to look for? or bad ones to watch out for? thanks!

Here are a couple pics of the TYC projectors I installed the other day. I searched the forums and still have a few unanswered questions about HID's. I have heard a lot about how crappy conversion kits are compared to retrofits, but what about compared to a PIAA/Silverstar/nokya bulb? or versus the bulbs that came with the TYC's (i believe osram?) Thanks for your input.

Have you looked into the newer HID-like bulbs from Hoen?
Do a google search, sure beats spending the cash for a full HID kit, we have HID's on the TSX and while they are nice, I'm not sure they make driving $400 nicer at night.

Plus I think your new assemblies are missing the top inner plate that most OE HID's like the TSX's have. You are more then likely going to blind on coming traffic and that's sure to get you pulled over by the man in no time come summer (we ticket for anything revenue season.)

I am not sure what you are talking about...could you show a picture? so I can look and see if my new housings have it? I have heard of others putting HID kits on TYC projectors, but never heard of this problem.

Nice red coupe BTW.

I've seen a bunch of people on various boards throw an HID kit into the TYC projectors. they actually look pretty good, and they have a decent beam cut off and tye don't really have any hot spots. loxllxol was one of the first people I knew that did it, and he posted up pics on here a while ago. do a search of post made by him in reference to HIDs and you should be able to find the pics. So if your willing to spend a few bucks for a HID kit, go for it.
clean accord by the way

edit:
I just found you a link. its about halfway down the page.
