Default Depo or TYC Projectors? (5th Gen)

Depo's from http://www.Autodynamic.com compared to the TYC Projectors. Pro's and con's? From what I've read, the Depo's use H4 for the low beam or maybe that's just the JDM ones. TYC's use H1 for lowbeam and have a real projector. Most likely going HID with either set-up anyways but just wanted some input. TIA

Each to his/her own, but I've owned both the Depo and currently have the TYC lights on my 94. The Depo's output is very much decent, but the assemblies themselves seem to be cheaply made. Mine didn't last a year. I went to change one of the bulbs out, and a plastic piece associated with the bulb retaining clip broke off, meaning there was now nothing to hold the bulb in place. the tyc lights on the other hand, seem to be very well constructed, and the output is by far better than stock. I'm happier with the TYC lights, but that's my opinion.

I read that with the TYC, you have to switch out the unit holder with your factory one in order to allow the corners to fit? Or is that the depo's? Either way, we plan on going HID so I guess the TYC's are the best choice.

I didn't have any problems with mine at all. I didn't swap anything out with the factory lights, and everything went in just fine, including the corners.

well i've had both depo's and now have the tyc's retroed with hids. I personally got tired of the depo as there really are a biatch to adjust since the screws are so difficult to reach, especially the driver side. The TYC's have been perfect as they just like oems. I'll be selling mine soon since i just did another projector retro.

Pics of my tycs: here
