where is the door ringing from? + SRS light question
Hi, short question...you know that annoying beeping noise when you leave your door open while the key is on ACC? where does that come from because i'm just about to cut it off when i find where and what makes the noise.
i also need to know how much the SRS light thing costs at the dealership. apparently mine went on. i really dont understand why because it only turned on about 3 trips after i messed with my gauges, not immediately after and i did all the battery disconnecting, etc things just fine...

dood, do a search on "SRS light" I wrote a solution to this problem somewhere on here. it works like magic. if u said ur mesed with ur gauges and then it came on, ur SRS prolly isnt messed up, tho it is odd it came on a little bit aftewards...
now where the heck am i going to find a pgm tester? i'm taking it to the dealership. hopefully they dont charge me 40 to 80 like they charged you. this is bs.

dood, dont take it to the dealership!
seriously it's REALLY REALLY EASY.
here's from my old post on accord company:
Here's the answer (which I came upon after MUCH research).
You CAN reset the SRS light yourself. I've done it. In fact, I don't even think there's too much to worry about when doing this procedure. There's a link below that takes you to the Prelude Service Manual and how to reset the SRS light, but the same applies to the accord so don't worry. You can reach the MES control on the accord by going UNDER the driver side dash. If you look on the other side of the driver side fuse box in the foot well, you should be able to see this yellow tab with 2 wires sticking into it. The rest of the instructions are below. And yes you can use a paperclip. Another thing to note, if the SRS light came on becuz of a direct SRS defect, then doing this procedure wont fuq nething up (i think). if there's a problem, then this procedure just wont work and the light will remain on. I've done it and so have other people. HOpe this helps. On another note, does anyone know how to recalibrate their fuel needle? anyone have a honda service manual?

Worked perfectly. Thanks Brian...
...for those of you that are reading this, remember, it's the top, smaller, yellow tab. Not the one near you (who said it was THAT easy?). And it's easier with two paper clips so you can easily attach/detach the circuit without pulling it out of the clip.
...now to find that wretched beeping noise...
