Default Timing belts and water pump

i just called my local honda dealership and was quoted 602.82 out the door to have my timing belt, drive belt, water pump, balance the belts or something? and coolant changed. is that a reasonable price?

btw, its for a 2000 honda v6 accord with a lil bit over 90k miles. thanks

Do others here feel the same as strykernyc that we should get this done at a honda dealer instead of an independent shop?

A Honda certified mechanic should do the timing belt.

I've heard horror stories about independent shops using autozone parts on Honda's, then not timing the engine properly to spec. When something that important is screwed up, your engine will idle like garbage and your car will shake badly.

please have your timing belt and water pump serviced by a honda dealer. i tried to save a buck by having a local guy do it, but had to have honda redo it. shelled out almost 1k...

thanks.
