Timing belts and water pump
i just called my local honda dealership and was quoted 602.82 out the door to have my timing belt, drive belt, water pump, balance the belts or something? and coolant changed. is that a reasonable price?
btw, its for a 2000 honda v6 accord with a lil bit over 90k miles. thanks

I got a qoute from two Honda dealers and an independent shop for the same service included a Radiator Flush and Oil Change:
Grand Rapids Honda Dealer: 609.50
East Lansing, MI Honda Dealer: 900
Independent Shop: 1100

A Honda certified mechanic should do the timing belt.
I've heard horror stories about independent shops using autozone parts on Honda's, then not timing the engine properly to spec. When something that important is screwed up, your engine will idle like garbage and your car will shake badly.
