Default I get ABS everytime!

suup all.
Anyone had this problem?

I thought ABS should only come on when the road is icey.
well it's definitely not. its 85 degrees out, sun shinning.

everytime I step on the brake, I feel abs and my car wont stop.
I almost got into 3 accidents today, beause my car wouldn't friggin stop! I ran into grass twice and into the shoulder because I couldn't stop my car. wtf

is it my brakes? or what's up?

oh by the way, when im doing about 45+ mph, and slowing down using brake,
my car starts to viberate lightly.....

anyone had this problems? Thx for reading

u should definetly get ur brakes cheked out. ABS stands for ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. it works with all weather wet or dry, it prevents the wheels from locking and screeching to a stop in case u have to brake hard in an emergency. the ABS allows you to steer the car at the same time while braking hard. if u dont have ABS then if u brake hard and ur wheels lock up, u cant steer ur car atleast out of danger to avoid an accident. it keeps the wheels rolling while still slowing u down at a steady rate so u can stop without hiting anything and or steer out of the way of shit because the wheels are still rolling(but slowing u down at the same time) and not locked up and screeching to a stop. i think something is wrong with ur brakes. maybe they dont come down enough on ur rotors to slow the car enough. if it was the abs then also u wouldnt have the vibrating going on. that might be ur pads rubbing against ur rotors and something going wrong there. ??????? u should get ur brakes cheked as soon as possible.

i don't think it's the ABS, but rather the master cylinder is failing. VVERY DANGEROUS. Get your brake check out ASAP. Mine failed before where I stepped on the brake, but it didn't, and I have to restepped on it many times. felt like the gas was leaking or something. Bleed your brakes, if it doesn't work, replace the master cylinder.

Thx guys, my car is sitting in dealer getting fixed.
went 7 in the morning =] they said my abs computer was bad so they going to replace that which was $483.99 (warrenty covers this) and a brake rotor was causing my car to viberate. I have to get that done myself which is $166.00.

I had to rent a car for a day. (this is also free)
and now Im gonna have to take my girl out with Chevrolet Cavalier (looks like crap) tonight.
she doesn't mind, but only thing I hate is its not powered window, I hate reaching across the other door and turn that friggin nob to bring the window down.
Urghhhh... but what can I say, it's free and at least i can go out
