Here's a closeup of the DIY red/clears I had on my 02 V6 until one of them was taken out by a shopping cart. I took the DIY a step further and instead of removing the orange light diffuser completely, I swapped in the clear diffusers I had laying around from the busted set of 98-00 Red/Clears I had on my 99. This way I could use a amber bulb, but when unlit it still looks almost clear. I think I need to find a safer place to park though!

Default Buster or darkside.

What are you using for bulbs in your taillights? I've been using
the amber led, but they don't seem bright enough especially in
the daylight. I don't care for the fast flashing the LEDs causes also.

I'm using regular amber bulbs just like darkside. I got them from The Accord Store. Here I go with another nighttime pic of the red/clear with amber bulbs.

one thing i didn't like about that generation was that the lights on the trunklid didn't function as brake lights also, only parking lights.

I didn't like that either, but I changed that on both of my 6th gen sedans. I enlarged the hole on the trunk lamps and installed dual filament socket/bulbs and have them wired off of the trailer wiring harness so I can unplug them without damaging the factory wires.

I also didn't like how the side of the outer tail light and the inner most section of the trunk light don't light up, so on my 99 I installed some 194/168 socket/bulbs to make the whole rear lamp assembly light up. I was going to try this on my 02 but because of the design change, there is no space for the small bulbs and i would need to used LED's, so I left that alone. I'm not going to hijack this thread, listing my mods, but heres a few pics.
