Wheels and Suspension
Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum and new to Honda's as well (although I know a thing or two about cars!). I am looking into getting some 17's for my '94 Accord EX, and also doing some suspension mods. I've got several different wheels I'm considering, but I don't know which suspension to use. I'm not a millionaire, and I drive it everyday, so nothing radical or "high performance." Coil-overs or "sport" springs? It has a new set of factory shocks/struts, so I also need to know if they need to go or if they can be used with either set up. I don't want to scrape the ground and I don't want to look like a 4X4. Any help would be great and I'll post the pics when complete. Oh yeah, will I need a camber kit. Sorry for all the questions, but I used to have an RX-7 and it didn't need all this to handle, it just needed very deep pockets to keep it on the road! Thanks.

well its too bad u put on new stock struts/springs.... did u pay for them? It all depends on how far you want to drop it. If you want a conservative drop that keeps the ride of stock, then you could go with Eibach Pro-Kits which will drop you a little mare than an inch.... and u could prolly use your stock struts, though i dunno how long they would actually last. A good strut to go with the pro-kits would be KYB AGX's. That setup will run you approx. $550 not installed(springs/struts). If you want more of a drop, you will definately need new struts to go with them and camber kits to improve negatvie camber.

No, I didn't put the new shocks on, they just happened to be replaced right before I got it. I don't mind being low, just not tooo low. You know, fill the gap in the wheel well. Will coil-overs work with stock shocks, and maybe swap for some KYB's later? Some shop here in TN is selling Drop-Zone coil-overs for like $80. That's cheap, and that's what I'm scared of.

Sounds good. As soon as I gather the gear I'll post some pics. Hopefully it'll look sweet, but if it doesn't, I'll slap the stuff on my '90 and call it a day.

Alright, a buddy of mine works at Advance Auto Parts here and can get a set of KYB AGX's for like $341 out the door, not bad. Now should I use Eibach Pro Kit, or H&R sport springs? Anyone have any of these combos and could tell me how well it woeks? The Eibach drop is a little lower, and I don't want my wheels to rub. Also neither says they need a camber kit, is this true?
