Nitrous for h22a accord auto
I plan on doing an h22 swap into my 94 accord auto this summer, but unfortunately won't have the money to do the 5spd conversion until the next summer. I figured if i could find some cash I could go ahead and put on a nitrous kit. What would be a good kit for an h22 auto? Zex dry or wet? I'd prob only shoot a 55-75 shot every now and then nothing more. Would this kill my auto tranny?
do the auto-manual conversion at the same time, it's cheaper... wait until you have the money, you can blow nitrous into your current engine if you want and fug that up, but why fug up a perfectly good swap
I'm doing the same swap this summer myself, on a 1995 LX. In fact i'm doing the auto to manual conversion also. My advice is doing the tranny at the same time as the motor swap. it will be cheaper in the long run. and less work meaning less man hours.
1. Tranny conv. at the same time like everyone else said, cheaper in labor
2. Running N20 on auto is okay, infact, it's safer. Any system will be fine, dry or wet, as far as you do not cross over the limit. ZEX wet kit with auto spray is good because it'll spray when you're on WOT. Some people may prefer NX, but in general, they all are okay
3. N20 can be very addictive and expensive. Yes I know, I've blown on H22 on it (not because I was crossing the line, but the fuel management was poor.
4. Piece together a good custom turbo kit and running low PSI, it'll be cost effective and more fun.

how is it safer on an auto when the auto tranny's clutchpacks will take a thrashing every time you spray through a shift and then it would have to be completely rebuilt and on a manual the its just the clutch disc being pressed by a pressure plate to the flywheel and are normal maintainance parts.
i know i blew up an auto tranny after a couple years of n2o usage and converted to stick.
