New Project..please Look!!
First of all, let me start by saying that I know, my car is a ricer. Please don't be like the clowns at honda-tech and bash me because of this.
I want to drop my car, but absolutly can not with the roads here. I'm driving a 1994 Accord LX. I have a black widow body kit, and 18inch rims. I live in boston, so there is absolutly no way I can drop my car as is. Now what I was thinking was, getting bigger tires. Perhaps the biggest size tire I could fit on my car. My friend was suggesting a 50 or 60 series. Tire thickness = Good shit. I want to be able to drive and not fear potholes, as my tires right now are low profile, and are a sucker for a pothole. Now with bigger tires on my 18s, my car would be elevated, and the wheel well would still be large, which is right now. Now, my project's main purpose is to make the wheel well disappear. Now with bigger tires, my car is elevated, and thus will probably look silly. From there I drop my car, a few inches. My friend was suggesting 1.5inches on all ends. Thus I go back to the same distance my car was from the ground, and the wheel well would significantly decrease. Please tell me what you think!!
Pictures of my car: http://www.cardomain.com/id/wfpod (stock tires) (still crazy wheel well gap)

(with the rims)
I really need input on this.
Thanks.

you should have keep it stock. The road in ATL here is rash too, but I was able to drop them. 1.5" is okay in your case. But remember, if your set of wheel + tires diameter is large = heavier, waste more gas and plus your speedometer will not be correct.
go here for tire size calculator:

and put your flame suit on :chuckles:

I don't care if my speedometer is not reading correctly, as half the time I never even look at it. Yes its dumb, but I figure I I just want this car to look right. Anything else can be neglected.
As for losing my undercar lights, no.

correct me if I'm wrong.
the neons are foolish, they serve no purpose but to attract useles attention of ppl who car nothing about cars but are solely superficial... just like someone who is all about looks.
you can lie all you want, you added the neons to try and get chicks... but to let you in on a little secret... girls love FAST cars.... only the shallow ones like cars like that, and be careful you might just end up with a ditz... i see it all the time.
now as for the rest of the car, it's not that bad, but i do not sense any flow.
i like the color... seat covers :ghey:, but overall it still has potential... it is begging for a drop.. but then again it's also begging to only have one muffler cut-out...

Here's my advice (and yes, you did ask for it)

1. Leave the stock suspension and use oem wheels and tires.
2. Keep the 18s and lower the car to reduce the unsightly wheel gap.
3. Go back to oem wheels and tires and lower the car to get rid of the still somewhat unsightly wheel gap with stock running gear.
Thats it, you can't go throwing huge sidewall tires on 18s and expect that to "fix" your problem. The largest you could really go would be something like 225/40/18 or 215/45/18 (the latter of which would likely be borderline acceptable).
And get rid of the neons.
