Default Maintainance Light

uh...!! i have a question about the maintainance light. Wut does it cover other than oil change. Like i did my oil change and its still on. How do i get it to turn off!!

the search button is on the top right

hold down the trip reset button....start the car... let go when it turns off

you might have to change the air filter also.

The maintenance light is triggered when you need to change the oil or change the air filter.
Once that is changed then reset the light.

If you did this, the light wouldn't be on....

Hold it in longer UNTIL it goes off. There is no sensor for the car to decide if it is happy with the maintenance you performed...it is only a mileage-triggered reminder.

you don't actually START the car. only turn the iginition to ON / II. i used just used this process on my sister's 98 coupe:

1. without the key in the inserted, hold trip/reset
2. insert key, keep holding trip/reset
3. turn the key to ON / II, while still holding trip/reset
4. wait around 10 seconds while holding trip/reset. the light will turn off. don't let go of trip/reset until the light is off.
5. done

oh!!! i guess ill try it again longer!!! but how come now, when i turn the key to II, those beeping sound doesn't come on no more???

The beeping is just a reminder that you need to take out your key when the ignition is not on.
right?
