I have a 97 accord lx sedan and I recently replaced my front right passenger door with a new one from a junk yard. The problem is when I plugged the power connector thing into the door my radio shorted out. Now the speaker in the front doesn't work and the light on that door pulses constanly. I think that the wiring from the new door must be different than the connector I just dont know what wires I should change to correct this. Any help??

Sorry, no info on the VSS. All I can find is a price for it. A Helms manual would probably have the info.

A REMINDER: Please post only specific questions you have about where a SPECIFIC part is, what it does, or how to replace/fix/troubleshoot it. Also, of course, any TSBs that you can find through Alldata that might help you solve a problem. I will not be responding to questions about diagnosing something or finding something or wondering what something is...that's what the main forum is for and there are many people more experienced in specific generations and types of Hondas than me. I do not post recall notices (because you can take it to the dealer and must receive it by law) or warranty extensions (also an easy dealer question). However, dealers generally WILL NOT give you TSBs or tech diagrams without charging you ungodly fees. Also, any A/C questions will not be answered because it's not something that cannot be fixed yourself correctly. You're much better off bringing it to a shop. Thanks, and keep the questions coming! I will be able to post these until October

Default 01-009 FEB 04 Engine - V6 Engine Oil Leaks

Hi,

Thanks so much for offering to do this. Could you please post the following TSB?

01-009 FEB 04 Engine - V6 Engine Oil Leaks

My Accord seems to have sprung an oil leak, and it is not one of the usual suspects (filter or drain plug).

Many thanks!

No problem.

This TSB is for all V6 Hondas from 98-03. The dealer should definitely do this one under warranty or goodwill...it involves a lot of complicated work and is a manufacturing defect.

They're easy for me to get. Takes about 30-40 secs per TSB.

This is all this one is:

SOURCE:
Honda Service News September 2003

TITLE:
Oil Leak From Front Cylinder Head Gasket Area

APPLIES TO:
2003 Accord V6

SERVICE TIP:
Speaking of oil leaks, a leaking power steering pump O-ring can cause an oil leak that looks like it's coming from between the front cylinder head and the cylinder block. Before you remove the cylinder head, spray a little leak detector powder on the power steering pump first. If the pump is leaking, replace it.
