http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...rformance.aspx

this is what I'm talking about. They also have one that is for every 5K, and one for every 7.5K

if it's mobil 1 saying you don't need to do oil change every 3k miles, would you follow it?

they have extended performance oil on 5w30, 10w30...etc, labeled oil change period: 15000 miles.

http://www.mobil1.com/USA-English/Mo...rformance.aspx

is that the fact that you just trust mobil more than any other brands tha you don't see much in parts stores?

or

is it becuz you think it must be right to do oil change frequently?

or

is it becuz mobil didn't have such extended performance oil in the market so you believe less frequent oil change will hurt your motor even there were already some advance developed motor oil available in the market that were proven to protect your motor longer and better?

What the hell is this guy talking about???? I just wanna know what people think about it, to see if I should try it or not. I hope your previous 56 posts weren't that freaky... and is it just me or does the final "OR" not make much sense.

I change my oil every 7.5k. It's 5W-30 synt Mobil1.
So far it's fine on both vehicles for about 30-35k miles each.

Increased wear at startup with a 10w, reduced oil pressure running with a 40 weight oil (a little more wear).

I would at least go to a 10w-30 next time you change.
