Default braking problem, i think

whenever i slow down fast my front-right tire rubs against the plastic thingy thats behind it. also whenever i release the brakes i hear a "popping" sound, sorta like the sound when they put a broken bone in place only this is metal and stuff. i cant figure it out, i took the wheel off and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

It might help if you said what year/model you're talking about?

Look for some kinda rod from the lower control arm forward to the frame somewhere. Is it loose? Broken? Often you can't see the damage until you force the wheel around to make it move.

Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com & put in your car's info. Look at the picture for front lower arm or whatever they call it.

On my '99 accord, the brake rotors need turning. They're making that same pop noise you describe when you put on the brakes or let off the brakes. It's faint, but it's there, and it tells me something's not right...

I haven't had the rotors turned yet, but when I do, if that remedies the problem, I'll post here.
