AS for me, my spark plugs are new and so are my wires, still have the problem about 1-2 times a week. Tried stepping on the clutch while driving, that does not feel the same as the jerking that i am experiencing. would it be a vacuum leak or anything?

Sheridon...
Hope it's all good now.

knight...
Vacuum leaks mostly affect idle, since that's when the manifold vacuum is strongest. Sudden sharp jerking makes me suspect ignition, where fuel or intake troubles are a little smoother. But that's not absolutely always true.

Look for arcing on your plug wires & distributor cap. Cold start in the dark, maybe spray water from a windex bottle to make it more visible.

what about bad gas?.

When my car was 20k miles old I had a similiar problem where my car was hesitating and jerking when i would accelerate.
Took it to Honda and they couldnt figure it out.
At the end it was bad gas.
