My neighbor is considering an Accord probably 99-00 4 door but she dosen't know if she wants a 4cyl or a 6cyl. She says she dosen't need a lot of horsepower but she's still undecided. Any pros and cons as far as the engine size??

 

Get the V6 just because it's a lot quieter.......

If she does alot of driving the 4 is better, especially in the stick form, great mileage.

The 6 is wonderful for torque around town. Drive them both buy the one you like. If you want an auto I can't see not buying the V6.

If you want an automatic, get the 6 - otherwise, the 4 is the way to go. With a manual the four is every bit as quick as the 6 - since you don't lose everything in the drivetrain, plus it's much more fuel efficient (I routinely turn 32 MPG with a mix of city and highway driving in my '02 EX).

 

if she doesnt care, then she should get a 4 cyl... its cheaper, a little better on gas than the AV6, less problems.
