Default 5th Gen questions

Howdy, fairly new here, and new to the accord scene, just have a few questions about the car I drive

1) How much power does it put down at the wheels, stock? I have a '96 4dr with an F22B1 VTEC engine, and it's automatic. haven't had it dyno'd but I'll get that done when i've finished with my modifications, I just want to have something to compare it to.

2) How much, exactly, does one of these cars weigh? (since i cant seem to find a ref on the net)

look on your driver side door jam, usually weights and loads are listed on a metal plate

according to edmunds the accord weighs 2800 lbs and the vtec motor makes 145 hp/ 147 tq at the flywheel. The non-vtec makes 130 hp/ 139 tq.

Every car is different so you should dyno your own car first then do the mods you were talking about then dyno it again so you will know exactly how much power YOUR car is making but if your not doing any serious work to your car to me the dyno is senseless because with a intake exhaust and header your probably be lucky to see a 10 HP increase but hey its your car and atleast you will know exactly how much you gained.
