Default Suspension set-up

I'm thinking of lowering my car again... I saw some KYB AGX shocks and Eibach Prokit on ebay for a reasonable price. I lowered my car before with Neuspeed Race Springs with stock shocks with I regretted . Will I need a camber kit for the KYB AGX / Eibach Prokit combo ? I have a 97 Honda Accord LX. Any input would be appreciated .

not to be a jerk, but to save you some harsher replies.... use the search feature. There is TONS of discussion about lowering on different setups, whether you will need to camber it or not, and so on. I would have asked the same when i put my tien ss on, but I searched and found all the info i needed. Its better to take 15 minutes out of your time, then to waste 15 minutes of somebody elses.

damn you learn fast...

anyways, for camber kits, id recommend just to buy a front set and use the bolt/washer trick for the rear. worked for me (except i didnt buy new bolts, just put in washers and used some loctite shit.

but the prokit lowers you to about 1.5"-1.8" right? i know my friend with a 6th gen is 1.8/1.7

pro-kit alone lowers you 1.2" on 5th gen and 1.5" on 6th gen. neuspeed konis gave more of a drop on my 5th and my sister's 6th. here's my before and after pic:

the dropped pic is with 1 perch below the stock height on the koni SP3s and only a couple of days after installation. it was slightly lower after the suspension settled. i think it'll be considerably higher with the KYBs. the ride on pro-kit is as smooth as stock.

as for the camber kit...get an alignment first. you might not need a kit for the front, and definitely do the washer trick for the rear if needed, as wedley2 said.

but shouldnt you get an aligment after you install the kits?

its almost hitting 2 birds with one stone, unless of course, you are not going to get the kits installed.

then, id just rotate the tires every 3k.

Thanks for everyone's input. I just purchased the Eibach Prokit Springs and KYB AGX shocks for my 97 Accord. My friend owns a car shop in town and he's gonna have one of his mechanics intall it for free ... Too bad his shop doesn't do alignment, but I'm definitely gonna get that done and see if I need a camber kit. Again, thanks again everyone .

of course you'd get an alignment after installing the camber kit. getting an alignment in between could save you the cost of buying a kit and is more a philosophical thing. for me, the cost of getting the alignment wasn't awful enough to make me just go ahead and get the kit and have it installed, which costs a lot more than an alignment. i wanted to know that i definitely needed one before splurging for the parts and labor.

I would've kept the nuespeed race and bought some kni yellows or tokico illumina's but at as long as you know what you want. I'm running H&R sports and AGX. Love them.
