I agree, although I like the 96 bumper
1.Stillen lip perfect fit
2.The wider front bumper lights

what is versison 1, and version 2?

94/95 accord was a little different than the 96/97. differences include:
tail lights
trunk lid
front bumper/lip
front bumper signal lights
grille

the rear end on the 96/97 was actually a little bit longer. maybe about an inch. and the trunk lid didn't use the sweet-ass scissor mechanism anymore.

All correct except the length masurement. They stayed the same dimensionally and the major change being the width of the trunk lid which is why they added the inset lights.

I fyou go to order replacement rear weld in 1/4 panels you will see that they share the same dimensions except the taillight housing opening is different.

That right there is where you should have held off....

Hands down, 3rd Gen. I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this, but IMO this car is by far the best (design wise) Gen Accord made to date. They took some serious risks with the car's styling, and pulled it off with flying colors. The motor may not have much aftermarket support, and you are limited slightly with the single cam, but b/c of it's "old ironsides" block, these motors are nearly indestructable.

A little 3rd Gen action here... www.3geez.com
