Default Tranny Problems in 94 LX

First of all, the gears are very slow to engage, most noticably in cold weather. The last couple days, my gf (it's her car) says that it just stops pulling all of a sudden. I went out today and started the car, put it into reverse and then drive, watching the rpm, and waiting to feel it pull takes at least 4 or 5 seconds before it'll go.

Also, the speedo is noticeably off. It is very slow to come up, and sometimes has an epileptic bounce to it.

What gives? Anyone got the answers or at least some ideas?

Thanks all in advance!

I just took the car out to drive, and the condition is the same. However, if it starts to pull, then I come to a stop, the transmission will not pull again until I put the car in park, then back into drive and wait again.

I checked the fliud and it shows proper level on the dipstick.

Does this sound like the tranny is fubar? It's a used one that was put in 2 years ago, out of necessity.

I see people are reading, but no one's saying anything.

Anyway, I bought an auto trans from a 96 Accord today w/86k on it's clock. I'm told that it'll fit the 94's engine w/o problem. My friend and I are going to swap them on Saturday so I guess we'll find out.

Anyone out there feel like taking the time to send me a reply? I'd sure appreciate the insight.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I've gone through every step of the disassembly for removing the transmission...now I can't get it to separate from the engine! I have the 9 main joining bolts out, and every imaginable other screw, bolt, connector etc. removed...I don't care what I do, I can't move the transmission 1mm to the left and off those mounting dowels. What gives? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

So no one here has the first clue about Accord transmissions. Figures...too busy flaming other people's valid questions or their rides, or no one has ever gone beyond swapping exhaust pipes or body kits.

Anyway, I got the new used tranny in, it has no 4th gear. Wonderf*****gful. 1-2-3, just fine....4th gear revs like in neutral and doesn't pull at all.

It's about time for my gf to own a Chevrolet. These jap traps oughta be sent back from whence they came.
