Default is aem really worth the price?

im about to order a cam gear off of ebay. the aem camgear costs about $140.00. there is this other brand, megan(ever heard of them?), they cost about $80.00. who would you go with???

I would trust AEM over the other, but the price is, well.......

If I had the money I'd buy just about every part AEM makes, provided of course that I would expect to get real gains.

thanks man, i was leaning toward aem. the price is high though, but i guess aem can do that and get away with it because of their rep.

Just wondering. Why you need a cam gear?

Trust AEM over that other brand.

There's other brands that are good too. Plus they have more than 3 screws, so it makes it stronger. I've heard of people with AEM having problems with it slipping a little.

the new aem design uses 5 bolts instead of 3 on the old design.

and yes, why do you need a cam gear?

megan is like halfway between a OBX and Apexi...not really well-known but their products arnt half-assed (i have a megan lower rear tie bar, nice construction and fits)

Cams aren't worth the price period.

a camSHAFT will make power. a cam GEAR, which you are refering to, is used to tune a camSHAFT.
