Default How wide can I go?

Im about to buy some rims, 17's or 18's, I haven't decided yet, but anyways how wide can I go with the rim? The last time I had an Accord (1993 Accord) I was rubbing the sh!t out of the fender & not to mention my tire was getting eaten away too, I had to grind off the lip of the fender to fix it and I dont want to have to do that again. 17x or 18x7.0? 7.5? 8.0? etc...I have a 95 Accord now.

Most likely 7.5, 8 might be pushing it since you don't want to mess with the fender.

I have 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 tires on my 6th gen...but maybe some 5th genners can pipe in.

Remember that offset is the key as well...wrong offset will make it rub on the fender no matter the width.

I have a 95 accord, with 225/40/18 tires. The rear sits nicely if you drop it a lil over an inch and set the tire to be flush with the fender so they sit next to each other, the front I have sitting a little higher and have just been lazy to drop my coilovers. I'm kind of afraid of it rubbing and then I have to bring the car back up. I also still need to put in the camber kit, so i'm wondering if they will definately make it all rub.

i dont know about widest but the most optimal would be 7.5'' wide and with a +42mm offset. if you go 8 make sure you get the right offset.
