Default brake module (black box)

i hope you guys know what i'm talking about. Its not exactly called a brake module but i think its the black box that operates the brake lights and brake lamp of the cars rear. I think i might have to buy a new one of these brake modules. Its a black box that connects with your taillights. After switching to altezzas and removing this black device from the stock i think i may have damaged it when i forked it out. How much do you think these things go for hopefully if anyone knows what i'm talking about?

it might be grounding out on some metal, check to see if the "box" is touching metal.

What year car and what thing are you talking about?

I don't have one of these "black boxes" near any of my tail lights when I installed Altezzas back in the day....um, I mean when I helped a friend install Altezzas in his Accord coupe.

Default box

Is there only one small black box?, and if so, was it mounted on the drivers side rear taillight? This little box controls the brake light failure circuit for the rear brake lights. They run between $20-30 depending where you order them from.

question. I think the black box is the problem, but before i buy it i'm gonna ask the man if he could check if that is the problem. By just checking, are they going to charge me? I will buy it if that is the problem but i wanna be sure that it is the problem first and i dunno if they will charge me if they are just gonna see first if it is the problem.
