6G owners.. anybody else have this steel rods under their rear deck..
If so, how did you add bigger aftermarket speakers?? Didn't the rods come in the way of the magnet? I am stuck with this shitty ass speakers 'cause i don't know what to do about the rods.

get a spacer for the speaker..Im sure they have thin spacers. If not make some of your own.
I installed speakers without a problem. My magnet doesnt hit the bar.

Awe the old sucky torsion bars....I have some Pioneer TS series 3-ways. They just happen to fit without spacers. But they can't take much over 50w RMS. They are great if you plan to use stock wires and headunit power. They don't sound like much but they are worlds better then the OE paper units. I still run the OE headunit so they fit my bill just fine. I think OE depth is 2"-13/16th or 15/16th incase you want to look around for an OE fit speaker. It's not a common size but I think Circuit City and Best Buy usually have a Sony or something in this size.

i got infinities 6x9's in my 6G coupe. i think i did have a problem with those bars. cant remember what i did to get around them, i just remember the magnets sticking to the stupid bar during installation.
