I've got 162,500 What stuff have you replaced so far? I've done the alternator, transmission, both front wheel bearings, every single suspension part in the front with a ball joint, one tranny mount, one motor mount, O2 sensor (warranty), EGR, and timing belt/water pump. Not including the small things like spark plugs, brake pads, rotors, etc. Not too bad for a car that's been driven hard since day one and was the dealership's test drive mule for 75 miles before we bought her.

I just tuned mine up...new NGK V-Power and seafoam engine treatment. I need to get underneath her when it warms up and lube everything up good. I could use a valve adjustment. From the looks of things, this engine will last forever...it's the tranny and suspension that crap out. I can't believe how fast she still is...I raced a new Cougar V6 5-speed on the highway tonight and absolutely kicked his ass several times at high speed.

Hello...
My 91' Accord Lx has 272,500 miles on it....
The engine is still running strong, but some insignificant problems started popping up, i hope i'll get her up to 300,000 on the same engine. She's acting up right now, but i'm sure it's nothing major....

Didn't they quit making those in 02?

I used to stomp on my friends who had the 2.5/170hp V6 with a 4 speed automatic.

Mine went 208 to be exact When I lost my tranny on the way to get my h22a swap, and if you dont beat the shit out and run it hella hard like I was doing then it should go at least 250 with proper care. And my tranny went not the motor.

Engine Restore is a very good product. I put a can in whenever I change my oil. The can says you sould feel a difference within 500 miles, but the first time I used it there was a noticable change within 20. No joke. My prelude has about 218,000 miles on the original engine, and I drive her hella hard.

I did the 90,000 mile tune up on it, timing belt and so on. I have only been doing the normal tune up since then, oil change, spark plugs and wires, air filter, the basic stuff. But I do need to go get a big tune up done like check everything over and replace what needs to be replace at 168,000 miles. I drive 140 a day, 6 days a week. So far my accord is doing good with no prob's (knock on wood).

Great to hear  You can do most of that stuff yourself, ask or do a search. It's all very easy to do and will save you big bucks.

I drive 120 a day 5 days a week, plus weekand jaunts Looks like you've been a bit luckier with yours than I have with mine, but I drive pretty hard.

just keep driving it. mine has 280,000 on it. it lasted about 260,000 on the original engine. just stay on top of your maintenance. seriously.

if/when your engine or tranny goes, just drop in a new one. if you can do it yourself it's really not expensive, and it's like having a new car.
