Rough Idle after the 30k service
I have 99 honda Accord EX, 2 dr. After the 30k service I am getting rough idle. I did the service at a local honda dealership. so, I went back to check this and after the checking, they said they found nothing. Does anyone know what to do at this point. 30k service included valve adjustment, could that be a problem? This rough idle making me ichy. Please help !!!

Why are you having the valves set at 30k?
Valves aren't needed until 100k+
They shouldn't have touched anything under the hood save change the oil.
I'd check the plugs and wires first....then and see if they F***ed with the timing or something.
Else, unplug your battery if else fails and let the car set for several minutes, reinstall the battery and let your car reprogram the air fuel mixture.
The 99 Accord is a really stupid simple car in terms of Honda goodies.---I'm amazed you only have 30k that's awesome!
Did they put 10w-30 oil in your car instead of 5w-30?
Some dealers do 10w-30 b/c they are cheap @$$, I'd avoid these dealers if you live in cold climate it's 5w-30 or 5w-20. I've even used 0w-30 synthetic too.

as for the idle.. did they do the idle screw adjustment recall? although it's mostly for emission purposes, it might cause something of that nature..

What the heck do you guys own for Accords?
I had a 1968 Dodge Dart with solid lifters that needed set every 20k but with the hydrolic lifters and roller cams in the Accord...that's insane.
The Accord Vtec doesn't need sh1t until 105k. Adjust the valves when you change the T-belt. Odds are they are off near nothing if anything. I think it even says to check and see if it is needed.
No one adjust valves at 15k do you guys own the Italian version of the Accord with the British electrical system? That would be a valve adjustment every 2nd to 3rd oil change depending on your driving conditions.
You guys buying new plugs and wires every 3000mi. too?

Thanks for quick replay. My school was very close up until now, so didn't really have chance to drive the car. I think I am going to change the service delarship but before I wanna see the end of it. I paid $350.00 for the 30k service. I will see those idiots before I let go. I will unplug the battery and do what MrChad said. Let's see if I can solve it. Thanks Again Guys. i am learning many things from you guys.

mine is adjusted every 15k cuz it's off..
if you check with many dealerships, they're 15k service inspects and re-adjusts valves as needed..
if you go to 105 miles and your valves are all perfectly in spec.. great for you.. but to say "The Accord Vtec doesn't need sh1t until 105k." is stupid.. :screwy:
