Oil problem with 98 accord
I have a 1998 accord that usually around the time for an oil change, the engine loses oil. This has already happened like 5 times since I got it and everytime I take it to the shop they say that they can't seem to find out what is wrong with it. Does anyone have any clue what is going on with this?

do you mean why are you burning oil in between oil changes? its a typical problem on the 6th gen accord. Check your spark plugs. I've also been using engine restore in between oil changes and that seems to have help the situation.

I loose a .5-1.0 quarts between 5000miles that's normal for folks romping on the VTEC. Don't worry about it.
As long as you don't go below the second dot on the dipstick you are fine.

My J30A1 used to burn about a quart every 3k miles...it was getting pretty bad. Then I switched to castrol full synthetic and it hasn't burned a single drop since :dunno:
Cars lose oil as they age...seals break down, your engine becomes less efficient. It's a fact of life. Cleaning out your throttle body, changing your spark plugs, and pouring some seafoam into your crankcase and PVC vacuum hose will clean out the carbon deposits in your engine. That might help it.
