Default Which Transmission

My girls tranny just went out of a 94 automatic accord lx. Which Transmission and what years are interchangeable to make my purchasing easier if any.(can i use a automatic tranny from a 90-93 model). Any info would be appreciated.

lx should be any 4th or 5th gen tranny, i even believe that 6thgens should even bolt up (those out of the f23)

i sont think that the vtec models were gears any different and i think they had the same mounting holes too, so i'd say basically any accord tranny from 91-200 should work.. but dont quote me on that... anyone else ant to chime in?

i do believe that the '90-'02's do fit up. not sure about the gear ratios about them, the preludes even fit up as well.

the clucthes and flywheels for manual transmisioons bolt up also.

thanx im hoping 91 and up trannys fit. i see them for alot cheeper. anyhow its a sohc no vtec 2.2 so if that helps any.

doesn't matter, the engines are basically the same, cept for the vtec head, so the trannys were the same.

the h-series rev-higher than the f-series, so prelude trannys will be geared slightly too low for the accord.. tho i think they still bolt right up.

so in short find someone with a SOHC F-series transmission and you sholuld be fine.

(be on the looikout for the f20c tranny, it's RWD and doesnt bolt up)

RWD? u sure? lol

but yea, im looking at a f23 tranny, only has 30-40k, and the guy is local.
