Default Help the Newbie

Hey all, I bought a '97 LX V6 about 6 months ago. It's got low mileage, it's in great condition ... and it's all stock. My biggest problem with it right now are the cheesey LX hub caps, so I'm itching to get some wheels for it. I'm not sure if I want factory alloys or something aftermarket. My dilemma comes down to $$$ - aftermarket will obviously cost more, and then i'll probably have to lower it to finish off the look. I don't want to get too crazy, though. If anybody has advice on the size limitations, and spring recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated. Wheels are easy once you know how big you can go - just pick what you like, but springs are foreign to me. Thanks again for any help / advice / tips you might have.

all parts are rated best to worse...
shocks: koni yellows($500) > KYB AGX($300) > Tokico Blues($200-people pay you for them)
springs will depend on if you want performance or daily comfort. generally H&R/neuspeed springs are good for performance while eibach prokits are good for a daily driver with some performance.
wheels.. anything you like.. as long as its not over 18 inches... 17s are preferable for me.

i was in the same position as u righ now, what i did was wait and save more money and not regret. what i have is 17" 45 215 "$750" including balance and everything and for suspension i save up for tein ss "$850".
dont go for the cheap stuff so much if u dont want to regret it. the kyb agx will start having problems after a yr or so if u drop the car too much.
ur car is going to look sexy compare to stock once u get wheels and suspension.

how many miles ur car have? u know around 60kmiles and after u will have to spend some money in ur car.

I've got 64k on the clock now. Why do you say I will have to put money into it?
