if you turbo the F23 you can definately can beat him considering that he doesn't have anything beyond bolt ons.

Right.

Bottom line is that the Accord was not really built/designed for performance. It was built to be a luxurious, reliable day-to-day automobile. It can be modified to perform, but the stock form is not oriented as well towards performance as the RSX-S is. I am sure that the F23 can be built to beat an RSX-S, but with the money you will spend doing that I would just save it and get something faster out of the box.

Just my .02.

I have a 1994 Accord EX 5 Speed with the only real performance mod being the Greddy Evo exhaust. My brother and sister in law have a 2003 Type S bone stock. My brother and I are about equal drivers, he is a slight bit better. The following are our times from the two autocrosses we ran in together.

Grantville auto x Sept 26:

My brother in the Type S: fastest time 39.246
Me in the Accord: fastest time 41.551

Grantville auto x Oct 3

My brother in the Type S: fastest time 46.921
Me in the Accord: fastest time 49.079

The numbers say nothing as we didn't swap cars and try and set times. We'll do that next year and I'll post the results.

Yeah, going with a different ride would be an easier solution, but I take it that's not really in the equation.
I don't know what you'd have to do to make it more fair. But if you were really, really good, and he was having a bad day, then maybe you could do it.

I've raced my friend's 03 RSX-S and my 98 auto 4 cylinder. Yeah, it was no joke.
