Default 03-04 wheels offsets steelies-new wheels?

So many people say make sure that the offsets are 40-45 offsets for after market wheels but?

notice how flush the front wheels are with the wheel wells and then look at the back, big difference.

I am afraid of buying 40mm off sets wheels because the back will probably be flush but fronts will stick out??
comments help

I can stand 15 inch steelies

no pic needed. Look at the difference between the rear and front wheels on an 03004 sedan or even coupe. If you put 17 X 7 40offset wheels on. the front will be exactly flush but the back will not be flush. So whats the solution get 35 offsets for the back.

If the fender to wheel setup is similiar to 6th gen Accords (which I'm sure it is) then 35 and even 40 will rub.

Just get wheels that are the same offset. You want the tire to actually fit INSIDE the fender, not ram it when the suspension compresses. That's why people say 45 or higher is best. My stock wheels are +55 offset, my Acura CL 16's for winter are 50 offset, and my 18x7.5's are +45 offset. And the 45 offset wheels are close enough to rub that it depends on my camber setting. I once had some 17x7, +40 offset wheels bolted up to my car to see how it sat and I would have had major rubbing issues, they were perfectly flush, and the front even seemed to almost stick out a bit.

Also notice that the rear of Accords comes with inherently more negative camber stock. That causes the top of the wheel and tire to tip in a bit more making it looked like it sits inside the fender further than the front.

Here's mine:
