If the fender to wheel setup is similiar to 6th gen Accords (which I'm sure it is) then 35 and even 40 will rub.
Just get wheels that are the same offset. You want the tire to actually fit INSIDE the fender, not ram it when the suspension compresses. That's why people say 45 or higher is best. My stock wheels are +55 offset, my Acura CL 16's for winter are 50 offset, and my 18x7.5's are +45 offset. And the 45 offset wheels are close enough to rub that it depends on my camber setting. I once had some 17x7, +40 offset wheels bolted up to my car to see how it sat and I would have had major rubbing issues, they were perfectly flush, and the front even seemed to almost stick out a bit.
Also notice that the rear of Accords comes with inherently more negative camber stock. That causes the top of the wheel and tire to tip in a bit more making it looked like it sits inside the fender further than the front.
