Default Word on Tanabe?

What up folks,
was wondering if anyone has had any interaction w/ Tanabe and more specifically, their exhaust systems. was just lookin around at the hyper medallion. i wanted to know if theyre good exhausts in terms of performance and of course, sound. if you guys know of any other exhausts that kick butt and are available, holla back. oh, this is for a 7th gen accord, 4cyl~

There is only so much power an exhaust can make (if ever), and this holds true, especially to Hondas. But in terms of reputation, I think that Tanabe has made a name for themselves and it's one of the more popular brands of exhausts out there.

I myself own an older G-Power Medallion (it's been discontinued) and I love it.

nice...thanks guys.

in terms of installing these things, im guessin its a better bet to take it to a shop to get it done? cause i dunno how i'd be able to get the car far above off the ground to work it myself. howd you guys get things done?

any other comments on tanabe are welcome too. holla back~

I went to Pep boys and got the ramps that you can drive up on and start with the front then move them too the back. Do it yourself save some monies. Just remember to grease up the exhaust bolts and the o2 sensor. My o2 would not come out and had to get a new one.

I have this muffler shop that I got to and they have a really good reputation with the work that they do. They installed my exhaust pretty quick and it only cost me 30 bucks.

removing the exhaust is soooo easy. Just get some jack stands and jack up the right side of ur car. Use wd40 on the hangers to slide them off easy. There are 3 bolts on the catalytic converter and thats it.

Since you will be working under the car I would reccomend putting the exhaust on hangers in pieces and bolting it together last.

mak sure ur tip and mufler are adjusted so they don't touch the bumper. I was too eager to tesdrive mine and failed to check if there is contact.
