Default hypthetical drop question

Bare wih me guys.. let's do some math here..my 15" with tires now is 23" wide. My 17" with tires is about 24" wide. the gap right now between the fender and the 15" tire is about 3 1/2 "... now if I put on my 17" with tires on the stock springs.. i should be looking @ a 3" gap right? with the sprint 1.5" drop, I am looking @ 1.5" gap.. which is about 2 1/2 3 finger gaps? does my logic make sense?? Comments welcome and needed.. thankx

bigger tires will close the gap between the tire and the fender. larger tires/wheels will also give you better ground clearance.

my accord, before the kit, was known as the 4x4 in disguise. i had 18" racing harts on it and it was slammed. i never scratched anywhere, even with ppl in the car

by the way, that extra inch of wheel means that your speedometer is off. you're actually going faster than what it shows.

buttt.... in my experience, honda speedos read too fast, so when you but bigger rims on, they actually get more accurate

when i went from 195/60-15 to 225/40-18 on my accord, the speedo reading went down almost 3mph, which made it my speedo match those radar speed surveying things (they say "your speed is xx" on the side of the road)
