but, since it is JDM, and not USDM, you're not going to find a DOHC f22 that is USDM. that would be i believe an h23 (usdm). i think that the USDM f22 and the USDM h23 have the same bottom end. aside from the obvious .1 liter difference in the bore. i think they have the same crank/rod assembly. or so i've read on here before.

anyway, back to the topic at hand, i'm not sure if the exhaust manifold bolts on the head of the h22/h23 and the JDM f22 DOHC are the same. my gut wants to say yes but i'd wait for somone who knows more than i do to give you an answer.
I just bought a F22b DOHC and dropped it in my prelude and i used my H23a1 turbo manifold! USDM only offered 3 motors for the prelude H22a1/4, H23a1, and F22a1 however tho in JDM they offered a fourth motor the F22b engine specs are basicly the exact same as H23a1 jus higher redline i'm running a F22b with non stock internals at 17psi and the parts are all basicly the same. if you need any help with this honda stuff let me know i've done alot of honda motor swaps if you wanna know what swaps i've done let me know or anything else.

Ive owned my Accord for 2 weeks and even I knew of the F22B DOHC
The F20C was designed specifically for the S2K

F22B

This engine was used in the 1992-1996 Honda Prelude Si in Japan. It is similar to the H23A.
Specifications
  • Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 95.0 mm
  • Displacement: 2156 cc
  • Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
  • Compression ratio: 9.3:1
  • Max power: 160 hp (119 kW) @ 6000 rpm
  • Max torque: 148 ft·lbf (200 Nm) @ 5000rpm
But in all honesty if youre going JDM DOHC then why not go for this one:

F20B

This engine was used in the 1998-2002 Honda Accord SiR in Japan. It uses a DOHC VTEC cylinder head similar to the H22A found in the Prelude and Accord Euro-R of the same era.
Specifications
  • Bore × Stroke: 85.0 × 88.0 mm
  • Displacement: 1997 cc
  • Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves, VTEC
  • Compression ratio: 11.0:1
  • Max power: 180-200 hp (134-149 kW) @ 7000 rpm
  • Max torque: 141-144 ft·lbf (189 Nm) @ 5500 rpm

Because he wants to run higher boost levels and the F22B has lower compression for that. It also has higher displacement and therefore more torque.

The manifold will not fit. The holes that bolt up to the head are different in the middle, but the rest of the kit should work. It'll cost 200 for a new manifold (thats what it cost me for a custom one)

Sounds like $200 is worth the investment for what youre doing.

all i need to know at this point is if a Drag Gen 2-3 92-95 Prelude Si (h23) turbo kit will fit this engine in my car. i dont want to do that DSM custom shit at this point.

basically what i need to know FOR SURE..is if the h23 exh. bolts match up to the f22b DOHC.
i have heard that the f22a1,2,4 exh. bolts are the same, but thats not what im interested in.
thanks for the help!

Yes f22b DOHC does exist,I have the same motor .it is a japanese JDM motor ..
the JDM f22b came DOHC but non vtec
The USDM f22b came SOHC with vtec
The JDM f22b is pretty much a H23A1 motor
So I have a 92 prelude, but I'm buying parts for a 95 prelude for the head parts and everything lower is 92..your h23 turbo kit you wanna run will fit in the engine bay but it has to be for a 95 prelude ,but you have to get rid of the AC to make it fit....sorry for the late reply,I just stumbled across this feed
