Thats because it has a "1500 Hp turbine engine"

When im driving my kids to school I tend to shift at 6200rpms... VTEC all the way...and this is in a school zone....Yeah!!!!!......just kidding.

I usually mash the gas when entering the highway and my auto shifts at like 4000.....I try not to gun it since .........its only a 4cyl and not a race car.. = (...

On my VW I shift at around 2500-3000rpms. thanks to the turbo..I shift before it really kicks in.

Hondas lack torque so I would say its safe to rev a bit higher.

Yeah, Hondas seem to like being revved a bit more than normal. I shift at 3500 in first and second to get going at a normal pace.

Look at the S2000.....9,000rpms redline.

My friend has an s2000 and when were cruising around ( smoking ) he tends to shift at like 5000rpms. Looks like that gas pedal needs to be pressed a bit harder to get the car moving.

I rev it up to 5500rpms on a regular basis(on ramps), but will usually shift around 3-4. I'm at 120,000miles with out a problem. as long as you don't go into the red I don't see a problem.

I have an 98 accord lx and shift at 2000 to 2500 and can put 405 miles on a full tank but when I'm driving fast around 4500 to 5500 and if i'm racing 6000 to 6500 sorry but I drive fast already hit 120 on my car in 4th gear was going to shift to 5th and push it all the way but back down and hell yeah it scary espically on stock suspension but now that i have H&R and koni shocks maybe one day i'll try it. I know what everyone is going to say and write back "man your tranny is go to die on you" yeah i heard it from all my friends, my dad, uncles, and cousin but that'll give me a good excuss to get an h22 so if you guys know anyone who has one let me know.
