Default `95 Accord speaker swap help

I found some sizes for a `94 Accord but is the `95 the same sizes?

Front door spears 6 1/2"
Back speakers 6 X 9"

or are the rears 6.5"

And what would you recommend that's not too expensive

I have a Pioneer Premier series Deck
Two Phoenix Gold 10" subs
1 Phoenix Gold amp

I still have stock speakers which sound good compared to other cars in the same class and year.

But there is always better so I am looking for some advice.\
Thanks guys, I'm new so excuse me for the length.

I personally don't like Pioneers as well as Kenwoods. In terms of finding the fit of speakers, you can either go to www.Tweeter.com or www.bestbuy.com and use their fitting tool that specifies the right sizes for your particular car.

my 94 is an lx, it had 6.5's front and back, I had to modify the rear speaker mounting plate to accept my 6x9's. Fronts you gotta be careful on cause w/o using a spacer, ur depth is extremely shallow, and you can use a spacer to accomodate but I think you'd have to fabricate a baffle or enclosure to make the area behind the speaker air tight to get the best sound from them.

DX & LX had 6.5 all around. EX had 6.5 in front and 6x9 in the rear. If you have a DX or LX, you can purchase the EX rear speaker plates to accept 6x9s without cutting or modifying anything.

The rear speakers are mounted to metal plates that are then mounted to the rear deck.

Thanks a lot everyone.
I bought some speakers.
Check em out here.
Thank you for explaining the size differences of DX, LX and EX models.

My `95 is an LX and it has a converter to fit the 6.5" in it.
We had a hell of a time trying to install these.

Now that I know that there is a difference for EX, I can just go to a near-by junkyard and pick one up from one.
Makes it much easier since we were gonna cut the existing metal converter to fit the 6x9 speakers. As of now I have no speakers in the back nor subs hooked up, so I have to live with my 2 OEM fronts.

My friend even tried making a hole to accomodate the spacing on the speakers and we even thought of just placing them in without the covers since the covers can't cover the speakers because of their design.

Anyway, I love my curent set-up, but with these speakers, it should be much nicer. Thanks a lot for your input. See... we can get something helpful out of these message boards.
