Default Custom computer / pc upgrade in TSX or Accord

Hey all. I'm considering purchasing an accord or TSX with the navigation system and am wondering if anyone has any sites or advice for installing a PC into the car.

My original thoughts were to get a video splitter and throw that into the dash, that way I can always switch back to the factory nav system if needed, the other line I could hook a pc up to. The capabilities I'm interested in are pretty standard: mp3, dvd, divx, wireless internet. Hopefully I'll be able to interface with the computer via the touch screen, power requirements for the PC are also a concern.

Thanks for any advice!

www.newegg.com has Shuttle pc systems for under $500. You need an inverter to go from 12V to 110V AC dependent on what power source you are using in the car. You want to get a high wattage inverter because of the loads the pc will take. Other than that just split the input onto the navi screen, I don't know what kind of input connectors it has. My suggestion would be to do research on the navi screen and see what all it has electronics wise and then get the appropriate components.

It's better to get a DC to DC power supply than use an inverter. Inverters don't make consistent power and also they make interference with your speakers or radio signal or something like that, anyway, go here for some pimp stuff

www.mp3car.com 1000's of people have installed computers into cars, and they will tell you EXACTLY what you have to do. Most people use mini-itx computers www.mini-itx.com, they are small and low-powered. They have enough juice to power a carputer, but they wont play games or anything, but if you want to watch dvd's/divx/use gps/play mp3's then its powerful enough, and pretty cheap.
