Ok, let me get this straight. The price you stated, $19456, (wo bags) plus sales tax and licence fees (california) should be the minimum they would sell one for? What about destination charge? Is that included in the $19456?

Anyway, what i'd like to know now if you can tell me is what the wholesale for the EX with leatheris. Thats the one i'm really interested in. Otherwise i'd just get the LX and buy some alloys for it. But the leather is what i really want.

Well, i got the dealer who agreed to my price on an LX to go for my offer of 23k out the door on an EX with leather. I think thats pretty darn cheap. The MSRP is $23,600, invoice is $21,727. I figure according to what you stated as the wholesale price is for the cloth EX, the leather wholesale should be about $21,000. Tax would be around $1600, and i figure destination and licence should be around $700. This brings the total to around $23,300. This is just an estimate since i'm not sure of the exact cost of the licence, destination, and leather at wholesale. (leather's retail additional cost is around $1600) But if i'm close it means the dealer isn't making a cent, or maybe even losing.

Any thoughts about my assessment of this deal? They are looking for one right now, tho if they can't get one i suppose i'll have to see if another dealer will go this low.

Hmmm.........just realized the destination charge is $500 and was included in the invoice of $21,727. So i think the approximate out the door price where the dealer would break even would be about $22,800 instead of $23,300. But again, i don't know the exact licence fees. I just estimated about $200 since i know the registration should be a bit under that and adding fees would probably make the cost around 2 bills.

Yea, but is that out the door? I got aquote of 19 for the same car but with a 4 out the door, which should be actually a bit cheaper percentage wise.

just a fyi, my cousin paid 14600 out the door cash down for a 01 civic brand new back in 00 when the civic first came out. you can bargain like hell, with our experience aim around 1-2k less out the door of the sticker price. that should be pretty good. i've heard ppl paying 100 over invoice out the door, usually the last year of that model and new ones coming in.

There is no such thing as an LX V6 6-speed. The 6-speed only comes in EX trim.
