Default Apexi or Bomz muffler?

Hi I'm considering buying a new muffler for an 2000 Accord EX 4 cyl 4 door, and I don't know whether I should get a Bomz muffler (with a sound adjust thingy) or an Apexi muffler (which just has a silencer). Any suggestions? Thanks

i run an apexi n1 on my civic i love it. with silencer on sounds stock untill you open the throttle up a bit then its lovely music my friend. i dont know much about your other choice might be nice if its tunable. never had one like that. i did notice an improvement over cat back i had on before with the apexi. im not a full blown jdm fan but they have r and d on hondas for quite a while now.

Bomz tends to be more generic stuff. APEXi, of course, is one of the leaders in certain aspects of import tuning/performance.

If I was just going to get a straight bolt-on replacement muffler, I'd go with one of the "more known" brands, because I'd hate to sound like rice.

from what i can gather those who know to run hks, greddy, or apexi catbacks. i use the apexi as stated earlier the cat back not a universal i hear all of those choices are good quality.

Any of these (But expect to pay at least $400 from eBay, my GReddy Evo2 was $480 shipped off eBay)

GReddy
APEXi
Tanabe
HKS
DC Sports
Magnaflow
Skunk2

All of those are excellent choices. If you've got a 6th Gen Accord, I know these facts:

The GReddy, APEXi and DC Sports are straight bolt-on, no modifications. The GReddy took us like 45 minutes and a six pack. Some of the others may not require any modifications, but I don't know for a fact.

I've read that the Skunk2 is pretty straight forward, but could use a little bit better placement to use the factory exhaust hangers.

get a hammer and a nail and poke a hole right behind the muffler.
Nothing beats that noise.

i'll 2nd that list. from this point, it's mostly a cosmetic issue to see which can and finish you like the most.

why spend the money on a muffler now just to replace with a catback later? save a little more money and get the nice catback. regardless of what muffler you buy, they still will not sound as a nice quality catback.

like already mentioned all the namebrand catbacks perform about the same and have high quality. just choose one based on looks and sound that you want.
