Hey guys I need your help. After this weekend and some long driving I got back to my cousin’s house to go to sleep so I can wake up for work in the morning. I came out to see that my battery was basically dead. I heard a noise coming from the engine and the small fan was on. So I jumped the car and it came on quick so the battery wasn’t completely dead. So that means it was running all night. How in the hell do I fix this. Is the small fan the cooling fan or the condenser fan?? And do you think it is a relay or something?
Unplug your fan switch. On my 6th-gen it's a 2-wire plug, the sensor is screwed into the thermostat housing (lower radiator hose). 5th-gen same??
If that shuts off the fan, you need a new fan switch. If not, then check out the fan relay.

That exactly what I did. I just unplugged it so I can get to work and drive the car. So I have to get a new fan switch. Wonder how much that runs. I shouldn't have to remove the hose or anything right?
