Default HELP!!! Limp Mode on 92 Accord...

I just bought a 92 Honda Accord. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt 6 months ago but it still drives a little rough. 2 weeks ago I got in my car and when I started to drive it, it would go into high rpms but hardly go anywhere, like it was in 4th gear when it was suppose to be in 1st (my car is a automatic). I found out that the car was in "limp mode" and they said to just take out the ECU fuse for a few minutes and then put it back in. I did this and just like they said it worked and it didn't give me any more problems for weeks. Today it did the same thing but this time when I took out the fuse and put it back in it didn't reset! Finally after a few times of doing this I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the car works fine. However, now the cars maintenance required light is showing! Has anyone gone through this before or have any idea what is going on?

This won't help with your problem, but at least for the 6thG maint req'd light is based on a miles driven kinda counter. It's like "hey stupid, I MIGHT need an oil change" or "hey dude, rotate these tires, ok?".

I reset mine one day at a red light when it came on 2 miles before. You hold down the trip counter and start the car holding the trip button. But that may be 6G specific.
