I never seen this done, but i do give ya props for it, I however would have chose an LCD screen not a ntsc tv....quality reasons and an LCD screen is much more compact. Also alot of dvd decks come with fold out lcd screens so you dont have to modify so much stuff.

It looks like you put alot of work into it, looks GREAT so far, but i would find a better place for the DC other than that glove box why dont you make a custome case or somethin for it...or a mount under the dash or somethin of the sort, that would be sweet.....

another thing...did you ever finish your third brakelight "accord"? I saw the "development" pics but not a final snapshot, thanx!

as a "Fold Out LCD Deck" owner.. i can tell you this looks way better (oem) and my alpine 1005 is starting to have motor problems....

1500 (for just my deck) vs. 105.00 and some elbow grease??? you do the math.. i agree with you on the NTSC tho.

this IS an LCD screen. it's not really that hard to do. dremel the change holder and cig lighter out and do a few other things and thats it. how am i supposed to mount it under the dash if it's top loaded and thats just screamin to get stolen just hangin there. the glove box with a lock is good enough for me . the whole point is to look stock and not be flashy. this has taken up my time so the brake light should be done this week. thanks for the replies though

i always planned on installing a pc in my car under the passenger seat and having the montor as an lcd pivoting display mounted on the roof with the keyboard on another pivoting stand mounted to the dash with the mouse next to that on the same platform. I think it'll be a challenge but at the same time pretty easy because i know alot pc's already, i can custom make a box for it. Hehee....just watch..in the future it will happen.

But so far..ur ahead of the pack...i know ur havin fun doin this stuff...go for it!
