front and rear end jact point
hey whats up guys, i was going to change my brake pads and paint my caliper this weekend. i got the jack and jackstands, but i was wondering where would i use the jack for the front and the rear, so i put the jackstands on the corner. im not sure what there called, but there like hooks right underneath the doors. but i cant see me using the jack and then while the car is raised me switching the jack to the jackstand. some plz help pic would be nice.

Yeah, you can't use the same jack point to lift it and then use a jack stand. To put the car on jack stands, you have to use the front and rear jack points (I'm assuming you have figured this out because you mentioned them in your thread title). If your owners manual doesn't show the front and rear points, look for the following up front:
On my 99 Accord, on the front crossmember (about 18" or so back from the front bumper) there is an area on the crossmember that comes down a bit, that's the area you can use to jack up the car.
In the rear, you just put it right on the rear tow hook (I'm assuming you have one, never looked under a 7th generation Accord)
To use these points you can't have jack stands that are too tall, and your jack has to have decent travel. You may even need to put a block of 2x4 between the jack saddle and the jack point to give yourself another couple inches of travel.
Make sure to block the wheels and you should be good to go.
